ASBESTOS ENCAPSULATION
Effective Commercial Encapsulation
For many commercial properties, asbestos encapsulation can be the only asbestos management option available in order to meet regulations. This can be due to budget or practicality. Application of an impermeable material or coating can be applied to securely encapsulate an asbestos-containing material, preventing the release of asbestos fibres and significantly reducing the risk factor. Have a look at some of our most common asbestos encapsulating methods below.
High Build Elastomeric Coating
This is a liquid encapsulant that's applied in several layers. These encapsulants can provide impact resistance as well as elasticity, especially when incorporating a reinforcing membranes. Correctly applied to asbestos applications, these encapsulants may provide up to 20 years of protection if undisturbed.
Penetrating Encapsulants
These are spray-applied encapsulants and penetrate friable ACMs, providing advantages over other forms of encapsulant in certain applications.
Water Based Epoxy Resins
These are available with chopped strand glass fibre and provide high-impact resistance and easily maintainable surfaces.
